A lively salt glazed teapot. Gentle turned ribs have been turned into the outside of the piece which has affected the finished texture. A deep Tenmoku glaze has been used on the inside of the teapot and some of this glaze has been allowed to pour over the outside when it was drained. This has combined with the exterior decoration creating extra character to the teapot. A maker's mark SP (STONESHILL  POTTERY)  has been inpressed into the clay below the handle.
