An early stoneware dish featuring  an orange Wells Cathedral cross  which is off set within a circle of the same colour.  A light oatmeal glaze has been used inside this piece with a deep Tenmoku on the rim and exterior. The maker's mark  M is impressed on the outside near the base below the glaze.
