A thrown and altered stoneware lidded jar. This piece has been decorated with a light green glaze before wax resist being  applied to mask a second layer of Tenmoku glaze. A lattice design features on opposing sides and on the lid.  A circular motif (including a  copper red) is positioned on the other two opposing squared sides. A maker's mark DF has been impressed into the base. This pot is a wonderful piece of classic David Frith all in miniature. It has been in our own collection for a number of years.
